I can’t spend all of my time writing. My love of movement, which began with more than a dozen years of dance classes in my childhood, turned into a passion for all things fitness in my 20s, particularly Pilates and yoga. In 2007 I completed a 500-hour Pilates certification for mat and equipment work through Body Tonic, a Brooklyn-based studio that offered East and West Coast style training. In 2010 I received my 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher status from YogaWorks, a studio that offers Iyengar-influenced instruction. In 2012 I became certified to teach barre3, a fitness class that blends ballet, yoga, and Pilates. I currently teach this workout several days a week in Portland, OR.
